Workshop held “Human trafficking, prevention and work with people who have survived a traumatic experience”

ASTRA – Anti-trafficking Action and the Student Union of the Faculty of Political Sciences organized a preventive and educational workshop on February 28 on the topic “Human trafficking, prevention and work with people who have survived a traumatic experience.” The workshop was organized on the premises of the Faculty in the presence of 22 participants/students. On this occasion, they had the opportunity to be informed in general about the phenomenon of human trafficking. Still also to learn about the traumatic consequences it leaves on the general health and psychological state of a person exposed to exploitation. The participants showed a great interest in understanding this social phenomenon, the consequences for people who survived this traumatic experience, and the importance of preventive work and raising awareness about the spread and bad effects on the entire society.

This workshop was organized as one of a series of activities within the project PROTECT AND SUPPORT – Strengthening reintegration process of (potential) trafficking victims and other vulnerable groups and individuals, which is implemented as part of the Global Program of German Development Cooperation “Migration for Development” (PME), which is implemented in Serbia by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs
